HALO EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY
Exercise Physiology for women
Here at Halo Exercise Physiology I am are passionate about two things...
MOVEMENT and WOMEN'S HEALTH!
So I have combined my two passions and provide exercise physiology services to women in an exclusively female only environment!

How Halo Exercise Physiology started
Since I started studying exercise physiology I have always dreamed of starting my own clinic. I wanted to create a clinic where I could work with women to improve their health and have the flexibility to choose my own hours so I could still spend quality time with my young family. I was working at Fernwood Salisbury, an exclusively female gym and I loved it. The facilities, staff and clients were great and I didn't want to leave. The only issue was they didn't have an exercise physiologist. That's when the idea to start a clinic inside Fernwood came about. I get the best of both worlds, I create my own clinic for women, I don't have to leave the place I love working and I have the flexibility to choose my hours so I can spend time with my boys. The name Halo Exercise Physiology was created by my sister. I was having trouble coming up with a business name, my name was too long and I couldn't come up with anything creative. That's when she suggested Halo exercise physiology, the initials of my two boys names. Lets hope I don't have anymore babies or I will have to rename the business!

MEET HAYLEY

HAYLEY WILLIAMSON
Owner and Principle Exercise Physiologist
Hi! I'm Hayley!Â
I am passionate about using movement to improve physical and mental health and well-being of females! Women's health has always been a passion of mine, since 2014 I have worked at Fernwood Salisbury as a female only personal trainer. During this time I have helped many women improve their strength and fitness. Whilst working as a personal trainer i noticed a lot of my clients came to me for help with their goal of weight loss. After a while I started noticing that whilst weight loss was their primary goal they were getting so many more health benefits. A lot of my clients would get feedback from their doctor that their overall health was improving. I wanted to know more about how exercise could improve so many different aspects of a persons health. This is what lead me to studying exercise physiology. In 2015 I started studying at the University of South Australia. I graduated in 2020 with a bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology with honors. Even at Uni I had an interest in women's health, my choice for my honors project was looking at online exercise programs for women with breast cancer. My other two clinical interest are chronic lower back pain and Pilates. Personally in the past I have had lower back pain, one important part of my rehab was Pilates. I found the principles of Pilates really beneficial for me so I gained my qualification in Mat Pilates.Â
A little more about me....Â
I am a mum to two little boys Henley (3 years) and Lenny (4 months). Yes I was pregnant with both boys whilst at Uni, crazy I know! I love animals especially my two dogs Ernie and Milo. I love playing sport, my two favorites are netball and football. Apart from sport my favourite ways to exercise is strength training and Pilates. I enjoy spending my time with family at the river or camping with friends. I'm also a bit of a nerd and enjoy reading and learning new things.
